Woot Woot!!

Jason and I went through the temple today!! We had the 9:30am session, arrived early at 8am, and didn't leave till about 12:30ish.

These are the pictures that we took after coming out...the top two are the last ones and we were goofing off. Well, Jason started it, so i had to join in. :-) haha
These are the ones i consider to be the nicer pictures. I still think the best way to start the day off is by going to the temple...earlier the better.

TEMPLE!!

We finally called the executive secretary this morning, to see if they had made appointments with our stake pres. yet.  :D  We have our interviews tomorrow and both Jason and I are going through the temple tuesday at 9:30am.  Yay!!  Finally, after about 2 weeks of trying to get bishops, and stk presidents going...we get the interviews! Then 2 more weeks, and we'll be flying to UT! Sweet. :)  ....After 3 weeks in the UT MTC, I'll be transfered to the Guatemala MTC for 6 weeks.

Birthday/Flat Iron/Haircut!

BIRTHDAY!
For my birthday my friends and I all went to Mimi's Cafe to have dinner, and then we played volleyball and games afterwards.
I only took pictures of the dinner because i was busy playing. :)
Of course Charisse and I had to take a Fav cousins picture...its tradition.

This is one side of the row...

This is the other end.
These 2 guys happened to be right in the middle so they didn't end up in either picture.
FLAT IRON!
My friend Kevin and I both had a free day from work and wanted to do a hike.  We tried to get some of our other friends to come, but as it was a tuesday...almost everyone was working. So it was just the two us that hiked it up, ate lunch, and hiked down in four hours. I think we made pretty good time.

1/3 of the way up is this...it almost seemed out of place from the rest of the hike. There weren't any boulders or huge rocks to climb over...the ground was like a giant flat rock.
We made it to the top!! This is probably my favorite view of the whole hike.  The mountains were amazingly green!
Kevin and I tried to get a picture of the hike down, so we are almost leaning backwards off this boulder at the very top, hoping that we wouldn't fall off, trying to get the trail in. All the while trying to smile...
HAIR CUT!
I decided to get my hair cut before I left on my mission so it would be easier to do while in Guatemala.  (Plus Guatemala only had cold to warm showers...) I took before and after pictures of my missionary hair cut. :D

The before shot of my hair cut!!

The after...
I absolutely love it! I had my friend Callie cut my hair and she just blow dried it afterwards...and this is how it looked!  If only I knew how to do this with my hair...haha
Thanks again Callie!!

This winter holiday we were lucky to have the two sisters that live out of state come to visit.  We had to take pictures while they were here...so here are some of the pictures that I took with my camera.
We took these after they did a temple session, and I did baptisms.
It was freezing outside!! 60 degrees!
for an AZ girl, its really chilly.
awe! they are so cute!
Harmony actually finished making the dress she was wearing this week.
These are my sisters', Karen, kids: Kenny, Carly and Lauren from oldest to youngest.
We had 5 out of the 7 kids, so we had to take a picture while they were all here.  from left to right:Christine, Jason, Harmony, Karen, & me
Jason's b-day cake with ice cream!
He huffed and puffed and almost blew the candles off...lol jk
lighting the 19/20 candles on the cake.  We put on 20 cuz we put an extra one by accident and left it on there because Jason won't be here for his 20th b-day either.
'Grandma' and Carly!

I'm so glad that we were able to have family over during the break.  I love my family so much!  I hope they remain safe through the new year!

New Years Day Climb!

First activity of the year is an amazing breakfast at Callie and Bryces' house and then some of us went climbing on New Year's Day 2009!  It was a really nice day, but we were climbing in the shade.  So I had to keep blowing on my fingers to actually get anywhere climbing.  The rock made your fingers go numb after a while, but it was still a blast! :D  Here is a link to took at the pictures:

Thanksgiving 08

This Thanksgiving our family went to my brother, Jims' house in Maricopa for dinner.  It was the Brown sides turn to get together, and since Rainbow Valley was rained out, Jim and Pam volunteered their house. :) We had soo much fun!
These are two of my nephews that had a great time swinging plastic sand tools around. haha
Some of my nieces and nephews played soccer in the backyard, while others had fun walking on the border walls. Both of which, I throughly enjoy doing. They must take after me. ;)
Courtney and Jalon were SO to stop anything that tried to get into their goal.
Ashley is such a cutie but as serious as can be! haha She also could stop any balls from scoring.
Mason was amazing at running up and kicking the ball!  I can't believe how tall he grew!
GOAL! Courtney celebrating as Jalon is getting ready for the next shot.
Emily and Mason were so awesome at soccer! You can tell that they were concentrated and unstoppable. :) haha
Too bad they won't let me ride a bike like this on my mission...It even had a bell!  Jim ofcourse was "upset" that I rode it around in his backyard and made ruts in his grass.  haha
haha Cole had almost ALL the balls! Fascination over the pink one...it felt really cool! He is so funny!
Cute one of Emily as she waits for the next attempt to score.
Mom talking with Ashley, Jalon, and Cole.  She had to spend a little bit of time with each of her grandkids. :D
Mom, a family friend, and I went back to our house after lunch to watch a chick flick.  We decided to watch the Holiday.  I've never seen it before then, and must say that it is one cute movie!  After the movie ended, I was going to play ultimate with some of my friends, but it was rained out. :(  So we decided to play volleyball instead!  I thought that was a great alternative. :D  I have to say that I had a very good Thanksgiving!

Mission!!

Jason and I received our mission calls in the mail on thurs Nov 20th!  We opened them as soon as I got home from school. :D
Once Jason got his letter he wouldn't stop to pose. haha So we both opened them at the same time.  He read his first and he is going to Calgary Canada!
Inside is the letter telling me that i'm going to Guatemala Guatemala City Central Mission!!!  Sweet huh!?! I had no idea at this point, and just look how excited I am.
Guatemala was the one place that I wanted to go!  I couldn't believe it when I saw it, i had to look twice just to be sure.  After being in Guatemala this summer, i didn't think the chances of going back to serve there on my mission where very good.  I can't wait to go!  I really hope that Jason and I can go through the temple with my family when they are all here this winter!
