My project!

I had a friend, David, break his femur bone this week playing racquetball.  He has low femur bone density and was serving the ball in a weird position and his leg broke.  I was not there when it happened, but found out about it the next day at ultimate frisbee.  My friends and I try to stay active every week by playing a different sport each night.  At this activity, I heard that David was already tired of telling his story of how he broke his leg, and my other friend, Kevin, suggested that David needed a shirt that says, "I broke my femur bone playing racquetball"  I jumped at that and said that I could make a shirt that said that!  I started on it the next day buying the supplies at Walmart (Dark colored shirt & a bleach pen).  I went home and went straight to work!  The finished project says "I broke my Femur Bone playing..." on the front, and the back says "Racquetball".  Its so awesome!

Today some friends and I came to visit David in the hospital and since I was finished, I gave him the shirt.  He absolutely loved it!  Blue is favorite color, and wanted to put it on right away, but couldn't because he didn't have the energy.  So the blue shirt you see on the him is actually just laying on top of him.  He never put it down...so I guess he liked it.  One of the nurses wanted a picture on her cell phone of everyone that came to visit, so I had her take a picture with my camera too.  Oh, the yellow sign in front is the pain scale. (Brian Regan-I walked on the Moon: Say 8!)  haha  Anyways, we hope that he will be released on Tuesday in time to come to volleyball; just to watch of course. :D

How funny! (about the shirt, not the leg of course)

It looks like you have a good bunch of friends. I love the idea of having sports night. Ohhhh, to be young again!
