Repelling

 

My friends all decided to go repelling a couple weeks ago, but we were rained out, and it was cancelled.  So this weekend we decided to try it again before school started.  haha Our luck, as soon as we got there and started unloading chairs, it started raining. :D

So we decided to pack everything up, and then my friends truck got stuck in the sand.  We had to push and pull, and dig the sand out from around the tires with a little shovel.  Finally, after about 10 min, we had the truck out, and the rain had stopped...  We decided to take the chance and stay after looking for, and seeing the clear skies in the distance. :D

As you can see from the pictures, we did get out all the gear, and it was such a beautiful night!  We went repelling, ate cobbler, and roasted s'mores!  Yummy!  We ended up staying from 7:30-12:00pm.  We finally were on the way home at 12:30pm.

I have to say, that I had soo much fun since the last time I went repelling 6 years ago with Youth Conference.  I think the cliff was a 60-80ft wall...and I went down 3 times!! :D
