Sedona

This past weekend my friends and I went to Sedona!  We originally were going to go hike the Grand Canyon, but that fell through, and since all of us had already asked off work, we still wanted to do something.  So we went to Sedona!  I went up friday after I got out of school with a group, and some other friends went up later after work.  We were going to camp right in Sedona, but there weren't enough camp sites for the 2 cars coming up later.  So we got some suggestions and decided to camp in Oak Creek Canyon instead.  I think it was much more pretty and green!  However, it was alot cooler too...so it was a good thing we brought up some firewood!  Anyways, our group was the first ones there, so we set up camp and then walked down to the creek to take pictures.  Then the next day we hiked West Fork! (picture above is everyone that came up and hiked)  It was the most beautiful hike that I have been on since I was little!  I don't think there could have been a nicer day, cloudy but still warm, and a little 10 min rain shower.  I took about 3 hrs to hike the 3 miles in...and then took about 45 min to run out.  I was hiking with people that took cameras too, so we were taking pictures at every little spot.  Then we had to run/speed walk most of the way out because we had to get home in time for the R.S. broadcast...which was amazing!! :D

These are some of my hiking buddies and I hiked in with, and then just the 3 of us ran/speedwalked the 3 miles out! We were being eaten alive by bugs in this picture.  haha I hope this picture gives you an idea of how green west fork was if you don't have time to look at all the pictures.  Hopefully you will have time to look, cuz they are Amazing! :D
