The Day has Come!

Yes...It has finally happened! I have found a charming prince to marry. :) We met at a YSA volleyball activity of course. It was held weekly and I had been going for about 3 weeks before he showed up to play. We ended up playing on the same team for the whole night, and by the end, I was thinking, man he's alot of fun. He should definitely come back next week. haha And he did! We played on the same team the following week as well. Thanks to our wonderful friend Shalee, he got my number and we went on our first date that same week back in September of 2010.

I found that we had many characteristics in common. We both love sports! Only difference is that wrestling is his favorite and mine is soccer. But we both come round as we play volleyball, ultimate frisbee, swimming, dancing(had to convince him he liked this). However, sports is not the only thing we have in common. We also enjoy watching all sorts of movies, hiking, and camping. Most of all we just like being together, talking, laughing, joking singing and just having fun.



The tuesday night before Christmas, we played volleyball like normal. Afterwards we went back to Mark's house and he tells me that we should go for a walk. I was a little confused because we never go on walks. Especially not at night when its cold. However, he convinces me by saying that its only to cool off. I'm still a little suspicious, but we start walking and we end up at the temple, he lives a few streets down, so it wasn't too far. We sit down in front of the Christis and just talk. Well, after a bit I was freezing! It was middle of winter, and I was in shorts from playing. So I stuck my hands into the front pockets in Mark's sweater to try and warm myself up a little. He holds my hands for a few seconds.


Then slips a ring on my ring finger. I figured it was my CTR ring that I normally wear on my middle finger. So I tell him that he got it on the wrong finger. He asks me, "Are you sure?", in such a way like he was meaning that he was right. I tell him, "Of course I'm sure, my CTR ring goes on my middle finger, that's my ring finger." Mark just says to me again, "Are you sure?".

So I pull out my hand to prove that it wasn't right, when there it was! The engagement ring! Then he asks..."So what do you say?" "Yes of course!!!" "Yes!" This is how it happened.


We will be getting sealed March 12th in the Mesa Arizona Temple. There's not a happier girl on the face of this world. :D
